I have noted on some posts that if there is inflamation of the gallbladder that a surgeon may choose to wait to remove the gallbladder. My daughter was on IV Antibiotic in the hospital for 2 days the first of Dec and has been on cipro since then. At the time of discharge she was told conservatively it may Feb 1st before she can have her gallbladder removed. I don't honestly think she will make it mentally or physically until then. I can't believe with all the technology today that anyone has to suffer to such a degree!! Please, won't someone offer something postive...

Hi,

I'm in the UK and on a stupidly long NHS waiting list. I too am struggling to make it. The symptoms I have are unbearable including a severe pressure in my head and constant nausea.

I hope your daughter is ok - has she had the op yet? I really hope so Smile

Hi
I have had my gallbladder removed, I had to wait, and wait till it was that bad... I was sent to a specialist, who said it was a waiting game but I was high on the list.

I was living on my own, and when I got an attack I suffered in silence because I didn't want to frighten my children.

sometimes I couldn't move, I tried everything....for hours and hours and hours... I would eventually fall alseep with a water bottle front and back for relief.. well kind of....

I got a call two weeks later... My step dad was in the same vote as me... and he had to wait months...

I told him to go and see some-one else, like a second opinion, just on the off chance they could get him in.. and sure enough within two weeks of seeing the same specialist as me, he was in hospital within two weeks...

So I would go and see some-one else... pain is pain, and I rather give birth any day, then suffer the pain of gallstones.

Good luck
