Current medical status: Constant diarhea following gallbladder surgery
Current medical treatment: Questran
Gallbladder removal can cause diarrhea as a side effect. Diarrhea usually lasts temporarily or until bile ducts become larger in order to compensate for the gallbladder removal.
You can use Questran (Cholestyramine) to calm the diarrhea but It doesn't seem likely that you will need this medicine for the rest of your life.
