Hi, My Mother has been sufering with this severe pain, right on her right upper cuadrent, she has done test, Hida Scan, Endoscopy, etc.. But nothing shows up. I have done some research and all of her pain leads to gallbladder, If she eats greasy stuff it hurts, if she breaths it hurts, the pain goes away for a few hours with pain medication But nothing really fixes the problem . What else could it be besides Gallbladder? and Why does she have this pain if nothing shows up on the test?

Hello,

I have been having similar pains myself, Hida scan, endoscopy and ultrasound were all negative for gallballder problems?

Has your mum had any more tests done lately? I would be interested to know of the outcomes.

Gallbladder Pain
No... She just had surgery, my almost fainted becuase of the pain so I took her to the ER and they told her she needed to have surgery, so she did have done. The gallbladder was irritated and swollen, they also took samples of the liver... But one thing I can recomend doing is taking all of the test results and telling your doctor that you don't need more test you need to see a surgen. Than tell the surgen that you want to have surgery becuase the pain is so severe and can't continue with your daily routines..

Hopefully I will get to see the consultant soon, but they dont seem to work very fast!

I hope your mum is feeling better now, best wishes to her!

Its reassuring to know that these tests do not always show what they should!
