Q: Gallbladder disfunction and YAZ birth control

I have been having lots of pain and have had many test run. My Dr. told me that my gallbladder is only functioning at 17%. They have set me up with a surgeon to have it removed. I am taking Yaz birth control and have been for over a year. I read that gallbladder disease can be a side effect of this birth control. If I stop taking it is it possible that my gallbladder problems with reverse?

I recently saw a commercial on TV for a local law office thats stating Yaz birth control is causing woman on have Gull Bladder Disease. I would look into this!

I took Yaz for 5 years and my gallbladder ruptured and they also found over 20 gallstones in my abdomen!...I do have legal representation and Bayer and their Yaz are gonna pay for this!

Update please

I am just wondering if you stopped taking it and if your gallbladder problems stopped.
I am in the same position, trying to decide if I need surgery or if this will just go away. I have not taken Yasmin for 6 months and not had any problems so far.
