I have recently been experiencing lots of pain on the right side of the torso starting from underneath the rib cage. I just started Chiro. treatment w/ spinal decomp. and had some adjustments. The next morning after treatment I developed extreme pain in my right back and had to call the medics went to Hospital and they found a kidney stone that made it's way into the ureter (2mm). I was told that I should be able to pass it with no problem. 2 days later I had another adjustment from the Chiro. and ended up back in the hospital er again in extreme pain. I was told the stone had moved again and made it down to the pelvic curve in the ureter and was ready to pass into the bladder. A week went by and I had nothing but sharp pains under the right rib cage and down to the right abdominal area with the sensation of a ballon getting ready to pop. The urologist told me that this was caused by the stone probably getting lodged in the ureter and needs to come out. I was also urinating small amounts of blood. He scheduled surgery the next day to remove the stone and after the surgery he told me there was no stone in me to clean out and that I already had passed it. I was disapointed and left with a stent in the ureter for 5 days which he then told me that was the cause of the continued pain. The stent has now been removed and the pains continue sometimes very sharp and radiates into the lower back. I have now seen the Doc twice in the last week and he has down an ultra sound on the kidney, gall bladder and ureter and they are all clear and functioning normal. He now thinks I may have a pinched nerve and I received an MRI on the spine yesterday so they can get a closer look. The pains continue and increase with exercise and walking, running. Was I over manipulated at the Chiro? Do I have a disc bulge or herniation which is pinching a nerve? I do have some degeneration of the facets in the low back. One more thing, the last time I seen a chiro. was about 11 months ago and the day after I also had severe pain in the gall bladder area and was sent to the ER for possible gall stones which turned out to be negative. the pain eventually went away after a week. Was I messed up by Chiropractor or something else? Can anyone help?
