i was diagnosed with mono two days ago and have been experiencing the symptoms for about two and a half weeks.
i am really stressing about not being able to work out for 6 weeks. i usually work out about 5 or 6 days a week and it really helps to keep me in shape physically and mentally. im afraid that not being able to work out will make me gain weight and become depressed.
im trying to just eat healthy but when im not working out on a regular basis i tend to over eat... ugh

if anyone has any tips as to how i can stay healthy and not gain weight while suffering from mono please reply!

i would really appriciate any input. thanks!

Relaxation ideas for mono recovery
Your body needs the rest!!! I'd suggest that you look into gentle yoga exercises, and even meditation tapes during this period. I know that it will be difficult, but you will have to sit with the drive you have that pushes you to DO MORE...even when it's not healthy for you. Some questions that you might ask yourself during this time are:

Why are you so hard on yourself?
What other ways can I feel relaxed other than exercise?
What does my body NEED right now?

It sounds to me like 5-6 weeks of relaxation is just what your body AND mind need!
