Hi all,
I am trying to find out if anyone can help. In 2007, I had a 2 level fusion w/o instrumentation from L4 to S1. L4 and L5 were herniated and S1 was fractured from spondylolithesis. That fusion failed and the doctor failed to diagnose it.

In 2008, I went to a second doctor who fixed it with instrumentation, but he only fused L4 and L5 . When I went to him in loads of pain, he said it was muscular and dismissed me.

I just went to a 3rd doctor, and he was very confused why the 2nd doctor didn't fuse both levels. Especially since the lower level is where the fracture was. He did not even try to offer a reason for him to fuse only one level.

Has anyone out there been through this or heard of anything familiar? I'm going to go to a neurologist to get another opinion. I've been searching the internet, but have not found any info on this type of situation.

Failure?
Hi,
I had a cervical fusion in 05 and it's been OK,not what I had hoped for but OK.
Im still in pain all the time and now am having more pain and weakness in my lower back, leg's,hip's and shooting pains down my leg's,numbness in my groin ect...and they keep saying it's muscular when even I know it's not!
I have Arthritis and in most all my joints even my hands and feet and spondilosis in all my disc's,it is all well documented in my record's!
Dr's just make me so frustrated,my life is going down hill and they keep wanting me to go to P.T.,the last 6 weeks of it about killed me,the pain was horrible days after and when my next appointment came around it started all over, what a mess!
I dont know how to make Doctor's listen to me either, maybe someone can inform us all LOL!
