I am very overweight, haven't been in a relationship for years, and I am sexually frustrated. It's difficult for me to use a vibrator because I cant crunch up enough to move it in and out of myself so I settle on straddling a long sarong as I can pull each end forward and back which stimulates me enough to orgasm. I was using it one day upstairs and enjoying it so much I didn't hear my mum arrive, she heard my moans and came upstairs to check on me only to find me satisfying myself. She was disgusted and embarrassed me so much I dare not do it again as I am ashamed. I am so frustrated its affecting my sleep, when urinating one morning, after I had finished I noticed a long whitish/clear slimy liquid hanging from my vagina, which felt better after.

Could I have been so desperate for relief it just let itself out?

Is it normal for a woman to want to satisfy these kind of urges? I am so embarrassed about it since I was caught. Is there anything discreet that I can insert that will masturbate me without anyone else knowing it is there, I need something!

LargeLisa, It is as natural as eating and sleeping. And shame on your mom for embarrassing you.

The center of your pleasure is your clitoris, not your vagina. You can rub and stimulate it without sticking something up your vagina. Your sarong for example, placed broad pressure on your vulva and clitoris, not inside your vagina. What you did is exactly what girls do when they hump pillows, stuffed animals, blankets and furniture. (http://ehealthforum.com/health/topic11643 8.html)

You will have to find some privacy, or have a good talk with your mother about your privacy and trying to embarrass you.

You have cervical mucus that comes out of your vagina. Different phases of your cycle has different types of mucus. What you are describing sounds like the fertile clear, wet and very stretchy mucus. You get it before you ovulate (which is also the time you should be horny). It is normal.

Masturbation is the safest form of sexual relief, and it have many many medical benefits. It relaxes you, it develops the neural pathways to carry sexual responses to and from your brain,it teaches you about your body and sexuality, it causes various feel good and general health hormones to be released in your brain. So do not be ashamed of what you do in private.

Masturbation is part of most healthy woman's lives today.

Best of luck!

Thank you, I think because I have been caught and shouted at, it has put me off. I actually do put a pillow between my legs too at night sometimes but am very quiet in case I am heard. Its very hard to get privacy as I live with my mother, she has also since hidden the sarong I was using so I use the towel after a shower occasionally but I usually have to stop as I get embarrassed. She asked me once what I was doing in there for so long, I cant talk to her about masturbation and my needs, she just doesn't agree that women should do that. Is there anything I can take that will calm me down so I don't think about it so much?

Unfortunately many mothers do not understand that their f=daughters become sexual beings after puberty and that it is much better to manage your sexuality yourself, rather than engaging in unhealthy and dangerous sexual relationships.

The bathroom is the ideal private place. If you have a hand shower, you can also direct it at your clitoris for some great stimulation. You also have the wash cloth with you in the shower that can help. Have you tried using your fingers or the palm of your hand over your vulva?

Unless you think it is unhealthy or a problem, there is no reason to suppress it. Once a day is still fine.

Normally keeping yourself occupied with other things will take your mind off it. Exercise might also help to burn off some of your energy and make you sleep easier.
