Q: Frequent Nausea

For the past 6 months I have been getting bouts of nausea every few weeks. Sometimes it results in throwing up, other times I simply lean over thetoilet and belch a few times which seems to make me feel much better. I am not an avid burper, I never burp unless its a result of my nausea. I was at the doctor a few weeks ago and I told her of my problem. She ran a few blood tests checking for a viral infection, which is what she thought it was. The test came back saying I was virus free, but I'm still suffering from these symptoms. Two weeks ago I was at a restaurant when the nausea hit and I ran to the bathroom to vomit. Tonight I felt nauseaous again and a few burps over the toilet made me feel better. Can anyone help me? What can I do?

Something is going on with your stomach...

Suggest you make an appt with a gastoenterologist.

What you describe sounds like a mild case of gastritis (inflammation of the stomach) and trust me you do not want it go beyond that.

The only way to confirm or rule this out is to make an appt and go from there.

Does your ear(s) ache when you have these episodes?
