Q: Frequent hypoglycemia without diabetes

Blood sugar frequent dropping 10x a day.
I'm not diabetic. Just reposting to see if there were any more suggestions on what to do about this.

I feel fine with sugars of 85-130. I don't ever get highs.
I'm 28 and my sugar has always been 85-130 with some quick drops of hypoglycemia. I feel bad with ANYTHING below 85. My lows would usually only last a few minutes and be a few times a week.
NOW I'm getting from 63-78 every morning. I stay in the 70s until I eat, even if it's hours later. I feel BAD. And then if I eat, not matter what it is, I can barely get up to 90 for maybe 20 minutes, and then I will be feeling BAD back in the 70s.
I know 70s are stated as normal, but I can tell they're not normal for me.
I start getting goose bumps, get weak feeling, minorly shaky, and cloudy headed among other things.
No matter what I eat, all complex carbs with proteins, & fats, cutting out ALL simple sugars, eating according to the Glycemic Index, anything, my sugar will be back down between 67-78 within a half hour or so.
I drop to the 70s usually 10 times a day or more, mostly staying there.
I drop to the higher 60s most every day.
It sucks. Fasting or eating it still does it.
My Endo says no tests are showing why.
I have normal fasting insulin, Cpeptide, etc.
Normal IGF1
Normal Cortisol.
My insulin after simple sugars is too high.
But I can drop from eating PURE protein!
I also can get to the high 60s low 70s from exercising.
He also says 70s and high 60s aren't so bad.
I will randomly drop to the 50s or 40s but it's usually AFTER a reactive hypoglycemia.

Any ideas? Embarassed covermouth

I'm sorry to say that I really don't have any ideas on this one. Here is a good website with information about hypoglycemia:

You could also click on 'ask the dr' on the forum. They have MDs who answer questions there.

Not an expert, but increase of dietary fiber, such as wheat, apples, cream of wheat etc. in combination with already mixed protein, peanuts, and carbs, pasta, intake, with your exercise, and see how this works for a week or so. Let us know what you find from Dr's as well, but like you stated, you're not a diabetic, so keep that in forefront, as well.

I literally just got back from my doctor's office for a follow up visit from a fasting glucose tolerance test done about a week and a half ago. What you described happening to you is what I had experienced, and why I had gone to the doctor to begin with. He said my glucose level dropped an hour after I had the glucose drink, but it was high 2 hours later. When I got home that day I felt horrible and ate some food then laid down. When I got up an hour and a half later my glucose level was 53 mg/dL. I check my glucose when I feel bad, mostly in the mornings, and it's between 60-75. After eating it's still the same, or sometimes a bit lower. My doctor said I'm pre-diabetic and that my pancreas is releasing too much insulin into my blood at a time. So, now I have to eat 6 small meals a day and keep glucose tabs handy. He said the paradox is that too many glucose tabs and my level will drop again, and I could pass out. However, I need at least one tablet to bring me up initially. I hope this helps in some way.
