Alright, I've been on Lutera about a month now. I'm on my sugar pills, so obviously I'm on my period. But the thing is, I was on my period the ENTIRE week before when I wasn't even supposed to! It was like brownish and gross. I've heard horror stories about people taking this medicine and bleeding 3 months straight. If that's the case, someone let me know, lol, cause I'll get off it immediately. It sucks so bad cause I'm a freshman in college and I can't even do anything til this stops! A couple weeks ago I missed a pill, but I took it right away the next day. The morning after I missed the pill, I took the Morning After Pill cause the guy didn't use a condom the night before and I'm paranoid. So maybe this had some effect? Either way, please help cause I'm so frustrated!

I started Lutera 3 months ago and I had a really weird period. even after it should have been over, i still spotted for the longest time. I missed one pill a few weeks ago... one of the first pills in the pack. and now for about the last week i've been spotting. But I also have a bladder infection. (which i'm not taking that medicine right.. it's not that bad) so I was kind of wondering the same thing...

does anyone else have spotting issues with lutera? I'm going in on monday to get more pills and was wondering if maybe i should mention this to them and consider a different pill?

Hey I take Aviane, which is the same thing as the Lutera. You might wanna reconsider switching you guy's pills so quickly. I was having a spotting problem for the first 3 to 4 months the week before I was actually supposed to bleed too. I know how annoying it is but it has been about 8 months now and it feels like I'm not even taking anything at all. I have such horrible side effects on the higher dose pills like I will get suicidal and mean and ready to fight anyone, not to mention the head aches and fatigue. Kariva, Lutera, Aviane are considered very low dose pills. I'm not sure how you do on the normal dose pills like Yaz, Ortho Cyclen etc, but I CANNOT take those. Hopefully if you have to change your pills you don't develop nasty S/E like I had with them!!! rainbow
