Hi there,
My husband is French and is absolutely fixated on the name Morgane or Morganne for a girl - it has been his favorite name since before we even met. I like the way this sounds in French, but I'm concerned about how people might pronounce Morgane in English. The English spelling Morgan in French is pronounced in an unmistakably masculine way, and we need something that works equally well in both languages.
So I'm taking a sort of poll: If you were a teacher reading a list of names, how would you pronounce that name upon first reading it? Would you end it with "Anne" or "gone" or would you just say it like "Morgan"? I'm not even sure which I prefer, but I'd rather not to go around correcting people all the time.
Thanks!
