Rylan went to his dads house saturday to stay the weekend like he dose every other weekend. Well at about
7:30 Felicia Rylans dads cousin called to tell me Jarad and his new girlfriend were taking off with the baby. I freaked out got to Jarads and couldnt find Rylan, Jarad or the new girlfriend. So I was sitting at his aunt tinas waiting for Jarads mom to come home from the bar and they told me that this kind of thing have been going on even when Jarad and I were still together. that that they had gone and got family pictures with Jarad, the baby and this new girlfriend. and that Jarad told her that I wasnt Rylans mom and that she was and just a bunch of crazy things. so when I found them and went into the house got the baby came back out got in the car and notices my feances mouth was full of blood and he had a black eye. Jarad and his manly mother jumped him IN THE CAR! Like Bret had nowhere to go he was stuck IN THE CAR! I called the cops because Jarads mom wouldnt let me take MY SON that Jarad has NO rights over and to get all Ry's stuff. Now im trying to get a order of protection against Jarad and his mom. And make it to where he can only have supervised visits with Rylan. Do you think thats a possible request? That and AA meeting and drug counsiling anf anger managment. So am I over reacting or what should I do?

Do you already have a parenting plan set up? Unless you can prove he is unfit due to alcoholism and drugs, you cannot require he do those things. Bringing anyone in to testify to 'prove' your point (his cousin says he was drinking!), is just hearsay and is not admissible.

NOW, lets look at the reality: write down EVERYTHING. Every time Jared calls. Every time you remember he picked Ry up. Every time he brought him back (late? early?). Does he pay child support? Does he buy diapers? Formula? Clothes?

If you are afraid he cannot take care of Ry, or that he may run away with him, supervised visits are not all the out of the ordinary. However, he will have to pay for a Court Approved supervisor - so that might be a hardship on him financially.

Since you called the police due to the fight and not being 'allowed' to get your own son, you should have a much easier time getting a restraining order.

Jarad has never payed for a single thing for Rylan. EVER! He neve comes to pick him up eaither. I always have done all the running and caking care of Rylan myself. Now he thinks he wants to play house with his new girlfriend and include my son in the fun, well im not okay with that. And Jarad is on parole, he smokes weed, and drinks offten... i know that all can be proved by a blood test. Jarad has no buisness with a baby alone.

Then don't take your child over there. It sounds like there won't be an issue if you keep him home.

Well yea im not taking him there. His dad is going to fight me for Custody of him. Even though he refused to sighn anything at the hospital. So we will have to go through a DNA test, and all that Jazz. Mable im not a complete retared I know not to take Rylan there again. Thats what im trying to prevent. I dont think Jarad should be able to have Rylan without supervision.

You are right, he shouldn't. I never called you any names. If you don't have a parenting plan, he has no legal rights to him whatsoever. What becomes involved in getting a parenting plan is, like you said, a DNA test (that he'll have to pay for) and various court costs, again that he'll have to pay for.

Most guys don't take this on willingly, so I'm pretty sure you are 'safe' from him taking Rylan anytime soon.

I got the 2year order of protection in him! I had Judge Bryan. Thank God.
