i fractured my humerus a year ago no surgery did pt for 6 months still have discomfort in shoulder dr. discharged me last month very good range of motion told me the more i use the arm the discomfort will go away just wanted to know if this is normall after 1 year and can it take a little longer please someone answer

It can take a long time depending on the severity of the fracture. Since yours required surgical intervention, I am assuming it was a bad break. I would go back to your doc and let them know it still hurts, just to see what they can do to help you. Is the pain bearable? If not, try to see if your doc can hook you up with a chiropracter or occupational therapist, they can both help with range of motion/pain relieving excercises. Best of luck Smile

Oops, I apologize for misreading. Was a long day. You do need to see your doctor if you are having continued discomfort in your shoulder. You could have damaged some muscle, tendon or whatnot. It's best to talk to your doctor.
