I just had a partial hysterectomy on Aug. 11 and when I wipe, the blood smells like something dead or raw meat.Is this normal?

Welcome to e-health. Yes, it's normal. That's what blood smells like.

Hi - whereas I don't want to disagree with anyone - I would say that the smell could be a sign of an infection. Blood should not smell fowl. I had that same "dead" smell in the blood from my wound: and needed a course of antibiotics.
