Liver Disorders, Hepatitis A,B,C Answer A27018
Hello and welcome to e health forum.

Cystic lesions of the liver include simple cysts, multiple cysts arising in the setting of polycystic liver disease (PCLD), parasitic or ‎hydatid (echinococcal) cysts, cystic tumors, and abscesses. These conditions can usually be distinguished on the basis of the ‎patient's symptoms and the radiographic appearance of the lesion.‎

Your condition is most likely to be a simple liver cyst. It to be noted that until and unless there are no symptoms, no specific treatment is needed for simple liver cysts.

With respect to Floxetine, it does not cause any liver or gastrointestinal dysfunction.

In absence of major symptoms like fever, loss of weight, appetite, bloody stools, etc, your symptoms ‎of nausea, stomach upset, abdominal cramps could be due to irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). ‎‎

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a chronic functional disorder characterized by cramping abdominal pain ‎or discomfort with alterations in bowel habits (bloating, constipation, and diarrhea). These symptoms ‎usually are present for at least 12 weeks in a patient during the previous one year, and unfortunately the ‎onset or subsidence cannot be predicted. ‎

‎ IBS does not cause any permanent damage or any serious illness but the symptoms cause severe ‎discomfort & distress affecting an individuals work, ability to travel and attend social events. ‎

Most symptoms of IBS can be controlled with diet, stress management, and prescribed medications ‎‎(laxatives, antidiarrheals, antispasmodics, or antidepressants). ‎

You may consider to consult your physician or a gastroenterologist for counselling and proper treatment.

I hope this helps.

I also have issues with my liver. I have Fatty Liver Disease Stage 1 with mild scarring. I have a fatty tumor on the liver as well. For the past month, this "tumor" felt like it was bursting (extremely sharp and painful) and I went through 2-4 days of pain, intense nausea and/or vomiting, and recuperation, and then the thing got bigger again and did the same thing over again, So far this has happened twice and is getting bigger again and preparing to burst again in the next day or so, this time it is even more painful, I'm more nauseous, and it has sharp stabbing pains almost warning me that it's going to do it's "burst" thing (I read my pain symptoms are indicative of a bleeding cyst so I'm leaning in that direction), I have had endometrial cancer that spread to endocervical/uterine and had a radical hysterectomy in 2011. The cancer was contained, only Grade 2, Stage 1 (or vice versa?) and I received my one year in the clear recently; however, I have had to have a skin excision (not cancer), an upper palate excision (suspected cancer), and now this is happening (the two excisions are awaiting biopsy results). As you can see, I am a bit concerned, because my research also turned up that anything that typically turns up symptomatic in the liver (you know, doc) is further along than minor, and if it is cancer then it most likely is metastatic. Of course, it could just be a simple cyst, too. It could also be polycystic, and I had a question about that - I had polycystic ovarian disease for 14 years, which is what led to many of my issues (diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, hard-to-lose weight, etc...), and I know that my kidneys have a few cysts but I have not been diagnosed with polycystic kidneys, but is it more likely that I would have issues like this since I have a history of polycystic disease (I also have cystic acne and MRSA which only presented itself once as a huge three-chamber abscess on my right-hand side once in my life so far; and I am susceptible to boils and cellulitis - I can't help but wonder if they all are connected)?
