Vaginal and Uterus Health Answer A34849
Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Hysterectomy is a surgery that is done for removal of uterus. Removal of uterus along with cervix is known as total hysterectomy. Removal of uterus, cervix, upper vagina, parametrium, lymph nodes, ovaries and fallopian tubes is known as radical hysterectomy. Once uterus has been removed, you should stop having periods. Vaginal bleeding/period like bleeding after hysterectomy is not normal, and should not be ignored. Visit your treating doctor/gynecologist for further clarification and assistance.
Take care.
