Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Foul smelling or altered smelling vaginal discharge during or after intercourse is not normal and indicates possibility of vaginal infection. Do not ignore your symptoms. Consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for a vaginal swab/smear test done to confirm/rule out infective causes. Get started on treatment as indicated by examination findings and investigation results. Avoid vaginal douching, or use of harsh soap or perfumes in the area. Use loose cotton undergarments and avoid use of tight fitting clothes. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle. If infective cause is detected, get your partner also treated simultaneously, and avoid having intercourse while being on treatment to prevent chances of re-infection.
Take care.

Are you sure you did not leave a tampon behind?

How does that happen and I don't think so. How do I see if I have one left inside. I alway's pee before and after sex and wash this is odd to me that I would have a smell like this and there isn't any discharge just an odor

It may sound strange, but it does happen. Women just forget to take the last tampon out. Feel with your fingers inside your vagina.
