This week I had been very busy and forgot to take my birth control, loestrin 24 FE, at the normal time. I usually take it at 12:30 because I eat lunch at the same time, helpful reminder. This week I have been behind by 6 hrs sometimes...maybe more but I can't remember. I've been on Loestrin for 9 months. I didn't have this problem before but I have had a battle with pregnancy-like symptoms on this pill. (No period at all during Jan, nausea, headaches, bloating, etc) My period is supposed to come this friday. If I caused a hormonal inbalance by not taking my pills correctly then I would have ovulated sometime around the 27th.(I still have a 28 day cycle, even on Loestrin)Could there be a possibility that I could be pregnant? I have had unprotected sex (both clean) with no withdrawal, I am fatiged, sick, a canker sore (never get those), increased vaginal discharge, frequent urination, increased appetite, and a craving for peanut butter & strawberry sandwiches lol. I would be 3 or 4 weeks if so right? Or is this the hormonal imbalance? Or could I be even further along. Last month my period was late but heavier. Loestrin has never done that out of the 9 months, they are usually extremely light, exactly what the makers intended.

Sorry so long but thanks for reading!

P.S. I wouldn't mind the surprise if I was!

If you think you are pregnant then take a pregnancy test-- if you're getting pregnancy symptoms, then you can trigger a positive pregnancy test. Otherwise what you're feeling probably isn't pregnancy related. No need speculating how far along you are until you see a positive Wink

There's a window for most combination pills (I was told it was about 6 hours)so you don't need to take it EXACTLY at the same time, but if you are consistently outside of this window then it will decrease the effectivenss of the pill.

I wouldn't worry too much until you actually miss a period. Even on the pill, there are things that can affect you hormone levels so its unrealistic to think your periods are always going to be the same just because you're on the pill-- you know what I mean?
