I'm in my mid twenties and newly married, but my husband and I have decided to wait with kids to after I've finished my degree. I've never forgotten a pill before, but in the middle of exam stress, I totally forgot 4 or 5 the first week.. I had a light pink bleeding on the 8th day, which lasted for about two days. I'm worried that I'm pregnant, and since I can't take a test before my period is (supposed to) start, I was wondering how big you think the chances are that I'm pregnant? The bc brand is 'loette' (low hormonal content). Thank's in advance:)

Your first week of active pills after your inactive week are very important. Since you missed those pills you were no longer protected and your chances are about the same as anyone else who has unprotected sex.

The bleeding you had was withdrawl bleeding (exactly like when you are in your inactive week) and isn't really a symptom of pregnancy.

Wait for a missed period and take a pregnancy test.

Thank's for your reply:) Unprotected- that's what I was worried about:s Nothing to do but wait for my period to arrive then.. But do you know approximately when I could have had ovulated? I felt a few 'stings' in the bottom of my stummmck/ovaries around day 6-7 (the end of the first week), a couple of days before the spotting.. I wish I could take a test now, and not have to wait for another 10 days:s

I can't even say for sure if you did ovulate. Sorry!

You can test two weeks after sex instead of waiting for the missed period-- whatever comes first. I just think its better to wait a bit longer. Smile

Its the same as the post above.

Because you missed the first week of pills you are no longer protected and have the same chance of pregnancy as anyone else who has unprotected sex.

The cramps could be from missing pills.

When you make mistakes with your pills you NEED to use a back up method. Even missing the first pill of the pack can bring you back to being unprotected for at least a week.
