I am in a lot of pain especially at night the whole foot cramps up. The mobic doesn't seem to be doing anything for me except to help with the swelling (when I didn't have the cast on yet).

I need help. My foot hurts and I'm wondering if the treatment isn't agressive enough. I've only had X-rays done both weight baring and non-weight baring.

I am currently seeing a podiatrist, would an ortho help more or is that only for my bones and won't work since this is a tendon?

The x-rays showed bones shifting and significant swelling in the joint as well as the scaphoid bone shifted considerably which I am told will contribute to a bunion later.

I am scheduled to do the breast cancer 3-day walk in September it is VERY important to me to be 100% recovered by then and with enough time to train.

The only thing that I can suggest to you is rest because foot injuries like yours usually require time to heal. You may also want to take non-opiate medicines for pain relief.

Orthopedists deal with bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments etc. I believe that an orthopedist may be able to help you get a more precise diagnosis and prescribe proper treatment for your foot injury.
