hi i have been having treatment for for sciatica for the last four weeks now i started having back pain about three months ago though but thought i would get over it by nursing but the pain got so bad i finally went to the docs who sent me or physcio i got an appointment for that about one week later but two days before i went i noticed my right foot would not lift as high as my left and within two days i could not lift it at all and the pain was the worse pain iv ever felt (even after having two kids )the physcio said it was drop foot coursed by a trapped nerve probably due to a prolapsed disc so i am now on the waiting list to see a consultant but usual there is a long waiting list and from what i have read about this nerve being trapped time is of the essence as the longer it goes on the less likely it is i will regain the use of my foot is there anyone who has had this and regained the use back without any opps or just by its self or is it what i expect and im going to stuck like this forever

i live out in the country and have to rely on others to take me shopping and to doctors appointments and i know they dont mind but i hate having to ask and rely on someone other than myself well thanks for listening and please write back if you have the time
