Extremely eHealthy
Patients on Coumadin therapy, and those with history of blood clots, is better to avoid food rich in vitamin K, as the following foods:
leafy green vegetables (kale, collards, spinach, turnip greens, beet greens, mustard greens, dandelion greens green leaf lettuce), Brussels sprouts, broccoli, green onions, parsley, asparagus and sauerkraut), since they contain more than the RDA of vitamin K for men or women.
Milk, meat, eggs and cereal contain small amounts.
Vitamin K content in vegetables and fruits vary.
Avoid consumption of alcohol and cranberry juice.
This doesn't mean you should eliminate vit. K from your diet.
The newest clinical evidences suggest that the most important thing while on this therapy, is to take consistent daily dosages of vit. K.

Best wishes!
