I have noticed in the past few years that the food I eat passes through my body very quickly, sometimes in as little as 4 hours. Is this normal? What can be done to correct it?

Hello, and thank you for your medical question on e Health Forum.

This is a normal phenomenon. Every individual is different. Some have a faster metabolism and some have a slower one.

You need not worry about it, as long as you don't have any issues like inability to gain weight, fatigue, diarrhea, etc.

In case of any doubts, consulting a doctor for reassurance might be helpful.
