ok this is so bizarre. I do not understand if this is a permanant condition for the rest of my life. maybe someone here can tell me based on what i know atm. a mnth today (actually).. i had a spinal tap done by the time i went to my follow up appt i told her that my back aches at the injection site. i was given Lidoderm patches. they were really expensive and didnt really seem to do any good. i then used a muscle rub which did help a bit more than the patches. but now a week after not using anything i discovered i cant walk on my foot and now have been told that this is called drop foot. I guess i need to know first of all has anyone ever had this problem caused by a epideral type procedure? and if so, will i have it forever? my bigger conerns are these PLS HELP.. Can you drive if you have this problem? ( it is my right foot) and are you able to have a normal life somehow and most of all can you work with it? i am in process of having the first battery of tests run. they are starting off with a spinal MRI. ( maybe to see if i have nerve damage?) and i guess i am suppose to get some kind of a foot brace. ( what if i had an office job and i cant wear sneakers?) currently i am using crutches to help stablize my balance becuase all i do is lose balance. if anyone can tell me ANY answers to these questions I would be truly grateful.
