First, I'd like to say thatnk you to Carifairy. We took your advice regarding the 800mg at once. It was a long and scary and difficult night but my gf is not experiencing anymore pain so we feel good. It hurt. She didn't discharge all that much blood, maybe a full pad with some clots.

My questions now are: when should we go to the gynecologist? what should we expect in the coming weeks? pain? extent of bleeding? is there any way to know if the pills were successful before going to the gynecologist?

Those are all I can think of now. Any other info you think would be useful, I'm/we're all ears.

Thanks.

There is no way to know if it was successful until you go to the gyno...

Give it 3-4 days, because she will likely continue bleed a bit and pass more clots.

After 3-4 days, go to the gyno for an ultrasound scan to see if she is 'all clear'.

I would wait abit, I dont know what cairifairy might say but if abortion is illegal she needs to get the drugs out of her system, usually it takes 24 hours to a week.

As long as there is no serious complications, take another pregnancy test just to make sure, but if they catch her with the drugs in her system you can still be charged, considering they ask for blood work or urine. I dont know if that is the case but with majority of drugs they can be found in the system and it is better to be safe than sorry.

The cytotec was used VAGINALLY, and they will not find it in her blood after 24 hours..

A pregnancy test cannot be used for 3-4 weeks, which would be too long to wait in case they must do the abortion again due to retained tissue.
