Q: Flying with congested ears ?

Hi,
My ears are blocked completely, they can not pop at all and I have to fly in abot 1 week.
If i shut my nose and blow towards my ears they make really strange sounds, and afterwards I feel extremely dizzy and fatigued.
CT showed I have sinus problems, the membranes are swollen.

I am using nasal spray, antibiotics(which seemed to help a bit, only on day 4) and some kind of decongestand medecine.

The doctor said I could fly, but I am quite concenred to wether there might be some damage I might do to my ears etc? Cus I have not seen a specialist yet.

Has anyone have ever flew with ear infection and what was the experience?

Cheers

Good Day Shkumbinf! A quick reply is all i have time for but I wanted to touch base. I've had swollen turbinates all my life and I've experienced stabbing pain every time I fly at high altitudes. I feel that it is doubtful you will incur further damage to your sinuses while flying high, however I would encourage you to have your turbinates inspected CLOSELY :] by an ENT.
