Hi all. 33 years old, had a csection in march. after the csection, 36 hours later had 2 units of blood. all in all had 12 liters of fluid, 2 units of blood and a volume expander "hespan" in 62 hours. Ended up in fluid overload, can this happen in absence of other problems.

Are you asking if the fluid overload can result from other things than excessive intravenous fluids and blood transfusions?

One of the reason of fluid overload is excessive volume administration (iatrogenic overload, overload caused by doctors)
