Hi, i get clear fluid that leaks from the rectum...it just leaks randomly, especially when i feel like i need to use the toilet...it slowly drips out..it doesn't really have a stool odor neither. I went to the doctor and they took a sample of my stool and nothing was found, still waiting for more result, but it doesn't see like they care too much... Embarassed this has been happening for a while now, say 9 months plus? it follows on and off diarrhea too...and i have a small case of hemaroid too..if that helps.

I have no idea what it could be...

I do know however, that the human body release fluids everywhere. Where ever there is an exit, fluids will go through them. Sometimes to prevent infection, through emotions, or just the body cleansing itself, etc.

Like tear ducts, and tears

Like mouth, and saliva

Like his/her special parts, and urine.

I would strongly advise that you see another doctor, if you feel that he/she doesnt take your concerns seriously.

I am sorry that you did not get a satisfactory reply. I think this requires more investigation by your doctor. What you are describing is not within the norm. A proctoscopy will help the doctor visualize if there is a structural problem within the rectum. If your doctor is not receptive to your problem you may want to go see a GI specialist who has more experience with problem of the gastrointestinal tract. Let us know what the doc says.

I've been experiencing the same symptoms and condition for the past 2 months. I also have a chafing, itching, and burning associated with it too.

Did you ever get an answer on this?

I was tested for fat in my stool which is a symptom of malabsorption of nutrients. the test was negative.however, often after defecation a re-wiping finds oily residue in the toilet tissue. is there some relationship? i continue to suffer weight loss.
