I have an 8yr old daughter who has been sick for over 10 days now. She gets pain in her lower abdomen around her belly button and sometime on the lower right side (also sometimes in her back) and gets very weak and her color is really bad. We took her to the ER and her Dr. she has had a CAT scan, blood work and urine all done with no signs of appendicitis, the only thing they found was fluid surrounding her ovaries. She has an ultrasound done, because they thought she had ovarian cysts. That came back negative, but she still had fluid around her ovaries. She has missed a lot of school and her symptoms come and go she is fine one minute then is sick the next. This happens about 3 or 4 times a day. They want to remove some of the fluid to see what it is. I just wonder if it is not appendicitis and they have just missed it. Help!!!!

Fluid in abdomin with pain in my 6yr old
Have you found out what was wrong yet? My 6 yr old has similar issues and has been in and out of hosp. with abdominal pain, face going white- looking and acting like she is going to pass out. Had CT scan and a small amount of fluid found in her abdomin. Hope all is well.
