Q: Fluid collection next to gestational sac???

Question

I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks which showed a corpus luteal cyst and a collection of fluid next to the gestational sac. It was the same size as the gestational sac. The lady said I should come back in a week or so for another ultrasound to see if it has grown or shrunk. The doctor would not acknowledge that it was there and would not order another ultrasound so I am waiting for my 12 week scan. Has anyone else heard of this or had this and does it rupture or go away?? Or could it be a twin that they did not pick up on.

Thanks

I just got out of the ER for cramping (I'm 7 weeks pregnant) The told me that they think its bleeding from impantation site. There was extra fluid from where my cyst burst (cause of the pain). My husband thinks it looks just like a twin but they could find the heart beat in the one sac and nothing in the other. I was told I'm at a higher risk for miscarraige (not much) but I should take it easy if I feel pain but theres nothing I can do to prevent it if it does happen.
I'll get another ultrasound in a month Smile Hope this helps
