Q: Fluctuating weight

I've been trying to lose some weight since a few months ago. My weight is always between 40-45 kg. I know that isn't a lot, but I really would like to lose an inch or two at my waist.

I've been running at least four times a week for two months, and have been exercising at least three times a week for about.. six months? I know this sounds ridiculous, but certain days I wake up thinner than usual, and certain days I wake up fatter than usual. It's really.. weird. My weight can jump from 41 to 44 kg in a mere two hours.

I sleep enough, mostly.

I don't know what to do. I really would like to lose weight. And now I don't have the motivation to exercise because I put on weight just as fast as I lose them.

Honestly speaking, it is quite strange you want to lose weight. Even if I consider your weight to be 45kg (99 pounds) and assume your height to be extremely short say 4"5' even then your Body Mass Index (BMI) comes out to be 24.8 whereas the normal range for BMI is 18.5-24.9. So even after considering you to be of a child's height (please don't get me otherwise) your BMI is within the normal range. So you do not need to lose weight unless you are shorter than 4"5'. I guess it's better to consult a medical expert if at all you need to lose weight because as far as I understand it from your BMI, you don't need to lose weight. Hope that helps.

I agree with Concernedn. This isn't normal or healthy.

If you keep indulging your obsessive behavior, you may find yourself with an eating disorder. Talking about "waking up thin" and "waking up fat" and weighing yourself several times a day is how these things start. Go see your doctor to work out a healthy exercise and eating routine. You should try to focus more on fitness and health than on weight.

The fact that you don't lose any more weight is just that you've simply reached your lowest normal weight.

I think you don't need to lose any weight but optionally you can always tone up by building some muscles. So go and hit the gym =)

I think you have a very normal weight. You just have to tone your body by doing the exercises that work for your body.
