Hi everyone,

my doctor recommened me to take multivitamins and digestive enzyme recently, and I started yesterday. I took one multi complex by genuine health and then my urine was flourescent yellow!! i was so scared..never happened before Shocked

then today, i did the exact same thing - took one tablet of multi complex after breakfast and my urine was clear...absolutely clear like water Question
about 2 hours later...its light yellow..but nothing close to the flourescent yellow like yesterday.
does anyone have any knowledge on what this is supposed to mean? and what is the vitamin doing to me...??

thank you!

Your yellow urine could indicate excretion of excess vitamin, especially that of vitamin B12. If it is, don't worry about it. It could also be that you did not drink enough water and your urine might suggest dehydration on that particular day.

Vitamins are an essential part of the diet which are involved in metabolic reactions in your body. Without them, some systems may weaken; for example, deficiency of B12 can result in anaemia.

I was taking B-vitamins to combat stress and I experienced the same side effect. No worries! Multivitamins do a body good!

multivitamin scare
I just started taking the Women's One A Day 50 advantage. I have been told to start taking them to help put in vitamins that I apparently am not getting. But, I had a scare. Very dark stool, neon yellow urine, and I had a moment of feeling faint. My heart was racing, vision starting to fade and quick breathing. The faint feeling went away but it left me with a pressure headache and the skakes continued. Should I stop altogether and get a lighter vitamin or take this one less often? I know I need to take a multivitamin, but I don't want to go through the trial-and-error process.

I take berocca tablets when I've had a heavy night on the town and they always do that, here is an excert from their wiki page. "Berocca causes your urine to be deep yellow in colour but it is completely harmless. The colouring is due to the excess vitamin B2 being removed from the body through the urine." Im sure its pretty much the same thing.
