I am at my wits end and I dunno what to do, about a year and a half ago i started having some upper right quad discomfort, it would wrap around my underarm into my back, I had an ultrasound a year before that and it found gallstones, so I thought that was it, About 4 months ago the discomfort went away and now I have loose floating stools/constipation it goes from one to the other, abdominal tenderness on right side. I've lost 15 pounds roughly, I'm tired and weak, pressure behind my right eye, weird thirst, fatigue, depression, reflux, nause and vomiting, major anxiety,I've had alot of tests, Pancreatic enzymes are normal, liver is normal, thyroid normal, abdominal ultrasound normal, ct scan w/o contrast normal, kidneys normal, cbc normal, chem 7 normal, stool normal, blood sugar normal, hida scan normal. endoscopy normal, the only abnormal thing was ketones in urine listed a 50, at that was just one of the 8 urine tests i've had. I'm scared of what this could be, pls help

Abdominal Pain Answer A9843
Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

I am sorry to hear you are going through so much. The symptoms (weight loss, loose floating stools/constipation, fatigue, depression, reflux, nausea and vomiting, and weird thirst) go more in favor of an inflammatory bowel condition such as Crohn’s disease. Sprue and celiac disease are the other possibilities that should be looked into. If all this is ruled out then it could be IBS.

Another possibility that should be seriously considered (and I do not want to scare you) is gall bladder cancer. It is a silent disease with no special symptoms. History of gall stones is common in most cases. The only thing that goes against this in your case is normal liver and pancreatic function. However tumor markers for this cancer and a CT scan of the upper abdomen should be done to rule this out completely.

Please consult a hepatobiliary specialist (person who treats liver and gall bladder disorders) and a gastroenterologist. All the above mentioned causes will have to be ruled out.

Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please discuss these possibilities with your doctor. The information provided is not intended to replace medical advice and should be followed up with a doctor who can examine you. Hope this helps. Take care!
