Hey, I don't have a family doctor currently so for all my medical information I've been going into walk in clinics, and have been having a difficult time with my problem.

About 8 months ago a rash began forming on my left eyelid, it was red and itchy and started constantly flaking skin, I tried soothing creams that didn't work, and a hydrocortisone cream that I was prescribed that also just made the rash worse and stung on contact. I used an opthalmic eye ointment that worked, however, they won't continue to prescribe it for me as it is not good for skin apparently. Since then, the rash has now spread to my other eyelid and now I'm beginning to develop a rash on my cheek, which isn't as red but just as itchy and flaky.

No one has given me any indication of what the rash could be from. I do not habitually wear nail polish or upper eyelid makeup (only eyeliner and mascara) and wear no face makeup at all. However I'm concerned that it may be an allergic reaction to something in my house as we moved around the time the rash appeared.

What could this condition be, and what steps should I take in fixing it? I am to be moving again soon but in the meantime I would like to be able to get relief if it does happen to be an irritant in my home.

My Son has this. It is somewhat like eczema. You will need some type of steriod creme to help get it under control. Do you have allergies? other skin conditions? All of this comes into play. Good luck.
