I am a 21 year old female who has had no previous sexual health issues until now. My symptoms included itching, burning, redness & painful urination (it felt like there were many tiny papercuts). I went to the clinic & had a number of tests run, & the result came back as chlamydia & bacterial vaginosis. I was treated for the chlamydia with one dose of medication, & given a weeks worth of flagyl, to take twice a day. I have finished the prescription, & most of the symptoms have seemed to have gone away but I'm still itchy & am experiencing burning while urinating. Should I go back to the clinic for another treatment, or further tests? Or is this something that will eventually go away on it's own? Also, should sex be avoided while I'm still experiencing this burning?
