Hi, for the past few days i've been having a fizzing sound in my left ear. It comes and goes through out the day. Does anyone know what this is? I've searched for info, but could not find anything. If anyone can help me out with this i'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

If you have a cold, sinus infection or allergies, your eustachian tube can become swollen and cause the sound. (Nasal spray helps relieve the problem.)Also, flying or going to the mountains- anything affecting the pressure in your ears- can cause you to hear a fizzing or crackling sound. Wax buildup can do the same. A more serious problem that can cause this is TMJ.
