Trying this combo, but my cholesterol went up. I have done a combo like this before and saw good results, anyone else had successes or failures from this or something like it? Or anyone have any staten-alternative suggestions?

It is desirable to keep the cholesterol and LDL levels in the "good" region, and hence one wants consistency with results. I am not sure why you are seeking staten-alternative suggestions. Have you had undesirable reactions to statins? Statins are effective, and sometimes it is necessary to try more than one of them. Also, there are now generic statins, so the costs are much more reasonable.
