Q: Fish oil and heart disease ?

Recently, I came across a write-up which said that fish oil is very helpful in protecting us from heart disease. It said that fish oil lowers both cholesterol and triglycerides and thus controls heart attacks. Can anyone tell me if it is true? Has anyone really taken fish oil supplements and seen the results for himself?

Consuming fish and fish oil rich with omega 3 fatty acids is beneficial for heart and blood vessels.
It reduces triglyceride levels, blood pressure, and stabilizes the blood clotting mechanisms, resulting in lower risk for atherosclerosis and heart attack.
Also, it lowers the risk from death for heart attack survivors.
These benefits are well determined through several clinical studies.
