Q: First Trimester Weight Gain?

i am 6 weeks along and the past about 2 weeks i have gained 12 lbs. this is my 3rd pregnancy and my first 2 i lost weight at the very beginning. is this normal for some people? and my symptoms are TOTALLY different from the first 2.
