first time sex bleeding
Posted: 05-03-08 12:32pm

Is it normal to bleed the next day after first time sex? I've been wearing tampons for almost a year now so I think my hymen is broken; why would I be bleeding?

Also, did any of you have a problem with getting the penis inside your first time? It was pretty awkward/funny for both of us but he got kind of frustrated. Embarassed

Thanks

Bleeding is normal but only because you probably didn't have enough lube and things got a little irritated. However if you're really bleeding and this doesn't go away after a day or two then check with a doctor.

Things were a little awkward for my first time too. I was really nervous and tense which made it hard to get anything inside and he was really nervous about possibly hurting me so he had troubles himself... yeah. That goes away once you get used to it. You'll learn to relax and he will work himself out. I'm not really sure where your problems were but the awkwardness goes away.

your suppose to bleed after the first time. ever heard the term "got your cherry popped"? honestly ....you shoulda made him go down on you a long time first, it helps alot! just remember to do that next time around...if he doesn't want to then he's not worth it.

Having your cherry popped isn't exactly an accurate term.

Most women have their hymen broken when they wear tampons or even foreplay. Heavy exercise can also break it like running or jumping jacks. I didn't have a hymen by the time I had sex.

well , i know it's not a proper term but that's how most people hear it when they're told about it...and they usually hear it for the first time from a teenager.....myself, i was like 9 or 10 and my friend was a bit younger than me and already knew what it was and told it to me....we lived in a pretty ghetto area at the time.

This is kind of offensive to me. I'm not dumb, I've heard the term, but I figured I had 'popped' already from tampons--which is why I was asking. Also, I don't think that my bf is 'not worth it' just becuase he doesn't want to shove himself inside me when I'm in pain.

Its not so much that it was the wrong term because it wasn't proper.-- what you said was just inaccurate. I had to dig around for awhile but I found a post that you may want to look through.

OP, I'm pretty sure any bleeding was caused by irratation, especially if the bleeding has stopped. Try some store bought lubricant. I hope things have improved for you!

to Maddie34 ...how is it inaccurate? just alittle slang
and to Skater...i know im a bit hillbilly but it wasn't meant to come off rude, you just didn't mention that you thought this already occured with tampons....and you totally got me wrong on sayin i said "your boyfriend isn't worth it if he dont want to put you through pain" ??? that wouldn't make any since....i was saying not worth it if he doesn't wanna take out personal time on only pleasing you to relax you.

Did you read the post on the link?
I'm really not offended by your slang and I understood it perfectly Smile
Your hymen is what you're refering to as a "cherry," Its inaccurate because most women either don't have a hymen or it breaks long before sex is in the picture. Also, it really doesn't bleed alot when it breaks and it certainly doesn't hurt much. Thats why when it does break most women don't even notice.

Again, I suggest you look over the first post of the link I left. It used to be a sticky and its just a little information on the hymen and it will tell you exactly how what you said was inaccurate.

ok thas cool...i see what you mean by innaccurate now. i thought all girls had a hymen at some point though...just horseback riding and bike wreckin' can easily break them.
