hello all! i just found out 2 days ago that i am pregnant (first time) by taking not one but FOUR home pregnancy tests. my last period was july 29th so according to the due date caluclators i have found via the internet, im about 5 weeks along. and terrified. i drank, had a diagnostic mammogram and all kinds of possibly harmful things not knowing that i was pregnant. although it was unplanned, im so happy. im 27, have a loving, hardworking and supportive boyfriend whom i live with and a very supportive and excited family (yes, ive told everyone already). i just want to be excited but every pregnancy website i go to talks about miscarriage. i know that they are very common. im so scared that im going to have one so instead of feeling overjoyed, i feel like im holding back. also, i had cramping for the last week (no bleeding) and very sore breasts that have seem to be gone today. no nausea. is it common to feel this way physically and emotionally when you are pregnant? im so scared im going to lose my baby Rolling Eyes

It's normal to feel like that, but try not to worry so much (easier said than done, I know!). A lot of women drink before they realise they're pregnant.. I know I did with both my pregnancies. As long as you don't continue to drink, or at least not heavily, it's unlikely that it will affect your unborn baby.

Cramping during early pregnancy is normal & as long as you're not bleeding & the pain isn't unbearable, you don't need to worry. My nausea only kicked in at around 7 weeks, so if you're not feeling sick yet it doesn't mean there's anything to be concerned about. Some women don't get morning sickness at all, so you might even be one of the lucky ones.

Good luck, I hope the pregnancy goes well for you.
