Q: Finding the reasons for delayed ejaculation
asked by: DoctorQuestion on January 27th, 2009
As a 21 year old guy, I've had occasional sexual partners. My issue is that by having an active past, I have the stamina to last around 4 hours in bed. That's after foreplay and all that. 4 hours. By then I either finish or run out of energy. I don't really get it. I'd like to max out at about 45 minutes. Any tips? I mean, I really have to thank the girls that actually stick around and keep trying after the first hour, but as you can imagine, I don't always finish. It feels good the whole time, and sometimes I even get too sensitive to continue. It's not like that when I'm alone, finishing in about 30 minutes. On top of that, I'm usually ready for more in about 5 minutes, if I can still move. Even still, sometime I take a break so I don't make her uncomfortable then go again. AUGH! I don't know how to get any quicker.

Given the symptoms you describe, you might be experiencing delayed ejaculation. The medical reasons for this condition include: excessive use of alcohol or drugs, side effects of certain medications, trauma to the pelvic nerves or a neurological disorder. Having in mind that you do not have the problem when masturbating, the actual reason might be psychological which is most frequent. You might want to consult a psychotherapist. Meanwhile, try to move slower. Exploring sensitive areas can take you close to climax and it might take only a little effort afterwards to ejaculate.
