Kids in school were pretty rough but, I was a pretty strong kid physically so I could rumble with the best of them when kids picked on me.
I am 21yrs old now, but when it first came out that I had Dyslexia, I was in 1st grade then I moved over to a school that specialized in teaching students that were LD. I excelled and became a pretty good student. However, reading out loud takes me awhile still to this day. So its rough sometimes in college and not being able to read out loud people look at you and just say what is wrong with this kid.
I was scared when I first found out I was a little kid. Then on top of that last month I was getting ready for the GRE and Millers Test for grad school. Reading some old files at school to see if I qualify for extended time it said I suffered from seizures, and high fevers when I was a couple weeks old. Then did a spinal tap and everything it said in the documents.
I feel "Normal" and never would of thought that stuff happened when I was a baby.
People that are Dyslexic, just cant give up. We work twice as hard as other people and we get the job done.
