My mother is in the final stage of liver cancer (the liver cancer is primary).

She was diagnosed 9 weeks ago and the doctors said there is nothing that can be done. The doctors said she had 2-3 months left.

Over the past few days, my mom has had almost constant nausea (no vomiting yet). Once the nausea kicks in, how much longer does the patient usually have (I understand there are no hard and fast rules when dealing with cancer)?

The primary liver cancer generally leads to death within 6-20 months.
Nausea is associated with increased chances for fatal outcome.
No one can give the right answer for life expectancy in advanced liver cancer sufferers, but, when jaundice appears, usually, only few weeks are left.

thank you for your reply. My mom became jaundiced a couple weeks ago and her health has really deteriorated the last couple of days.It seems like we are looking at a matter of days now.
