Q: Filing for Disability

I recently filed for disability and was declined. Not surprising since around 80% of claims are denied the first time. I am going to start working with a lawyer next week to file my appeal.
Does anyone have any tips that I need to know to get around the red tape and increase my chances of getting approved?

Are you applying for state or federal disability. State is only good for a year, but pays more. I hope you don't get denied.
