I had a funny looking "bump" that appeared on my shoulder...I've been disabled for about 11 years now so I don't spend much time out of doors (time in the sun)..I'm a redhead, fair skin, freckles...once this year incurred a sunburn from riding with the sunroof open on a long car ride...at any rate..It honestly looked like a pimple..of course I picked at it..nothing..hard ...similiar to an ingrown hair, like a "core" in the center of it...what my GP initially thought till he touched it...then he said..No that has to come off...so he did a fabulous job..and when he removed it..it "popped" right off..great!! Went in for other test results and he told me there were cancerous cells present in the Fibroma (what he referred to it as) and he referred me to a Dermatologist. He said typically with Fibroma's..there is a gooey like substance when removed..this was NOT the case when he removed this one...so I've made the appointment...that's three weeks out...has anyone else dealt with something like/similar to this ?? My sisters both have more olive skin and are "moley" so they've had a number of Moles removed....
I'd appreciate any info if you've had a similar situation!
Thanks!!
