I'm 59 years old and have had fiborids for a long time including pendulated (on a stalk). I've been suffering for over a year with terrible gas,cramps and pressure on the rectum. No weight loss/gain, bleeeding or other symptoms. I feel miserable most of the time. I've been to the gastroenterologist, have 2 colonoscopies, tests for lactose intolerance, celiac disease, blood work ect. The discomfort is below my belly button , not in a specific area. Since I have these fibroids my gastro doc thinks it may be the fibroidsl Ive have 2 opinions frm gynecologists. One says it is not the fibroids, the other thinks it maybe and that a hysterectomy may alleviate my symptoms but gives no guarantees.

I hate the thought of unneccesary surgery but I am miserable on a daily basis.

Any advice/opinions out there?
