I have fibroid tumors and right now they are to large to remove. I have read that birth control could cause the tumors to grow I wanted to know if this is true and if so what are other options I have for birth control.

Although, the uterine fibroids grow best when there are high levels of estrogen, still, oral contraceptives rarely contribute to the growth of fibroids.
It is best to talk with your gyn for prescription of birth control pills with the lowest estrogen levels, or to consider non-hormonal contraception.
Birth control pills can be helpful in regulating the menses and decreasing the quantity of bleeding and cramps.

Best wishes!

Since I've posted this I have found a new doctor. After examining me he has concluded that I will not need the hysterctomy that my other doctor had told me was my only option besides dealing with the pain until menapouse. He will use robotic arms to cut the tumors up then suck them out.
