I'm a 16 year old male,So then, I was sleeping last night and I was sweating and was having a fever also,
I didn't sleep much because I kept waking up, I woke up with a headache, body ache, felt like I've been walking forever, then my mom gave me these chinese cold pills, I took 6 of them, couple hours later, I took ibuprofen(Moltrin?)felt a bit better, took a nap, sweated a bit woke up feeling a bit better, I was drinking a lot of water, bottles after bottle, my throat was hurting in the morning but I guess it was dry, water took care of it, my doctor said I have a 70% chance of having the flu, I'm just worried because H1N1 is jumping around. Thanks for reading!

Did you ask for Tamaflu? Did the doctor even offer it? If not, you should call and ask for it ASAP because the sooner you take it, the better.

Also, please be reminded that most people get through the flu (even H1N1) just fine. The main thing is to stay in bed, drink plenty of fluids, and try not to get other people sick (especially children and pregnant women). If you start to get a really high fever or feel exceptionally bad, call the doctor and ask if you should get further treatment or go to the hospital. Most likely, you'll be fine. Especially if you get Tamaflu or something like it. The vast majority of the people who have had serious complications from H1N1 had other serious conditions, like severe asthma or epilepsy.

Another thing--never take 6 pills of anything at once unless a doctor specifically tells you to! EVER! Do you hear me! Stuff like that can be really serious. Some of it can even send you into liver failure (yes, from one single dose like that). Just because it's over-the-counter doesn't mean it's not real medicine.

I hope you feel better very soon.
